World’s Most Expensive Painting – The field of art is a new record with the sale at Christie’s most expensive work of Joan Miró in the world. During the auction sale of the house was in fact sold for 16 million pounds, about 26 million, the painting “Painting Poem (le corps de ma brune)”, the work of Spanish artist that started from a base of ‘auction of 9 million pounds. With this sale is thus broken the previous record by the same artist, established in 2008 opera “La Caresse des etoiles” 17 million dollars.

The art industry is experiencing increasingly important sales with prices touching astronomical heights. Recently, the royal family of Qatar bought the painting The Card Players by Paul Cezanne setting a record for the most expensive painting in the world for 250 million dollars.

World's Most Expensive Painting

A figure that has put the industry in turmoil and that is unlikely to be exceeded, even though experts note are fewer and fewer great works of art available on the market and, when they come to auction houses are unleashed real battles shots of millions

This was true also for the painting by Miró that is part of a series of works called “poem paintings” and that they had a great influence in the world of art and culture. The work was painted in 1925 and is a representation of stream of consciousness poetry as seen through the paint.

A wonderful picture that sparked a real race to the top, setting a new record for the artist Catalan. At least in this case we are sure that this is a true work of art and not “alleged”.
